Pour sa deuxième exposition, A GLASS HOUSE présente le jeune artiste français Laurent Saksik et son œuvre TRANE. Cette installation, constituée d’une rangée de 5 lames de verre chauffant E-GLAS « sonorisé » permet de transformer le verre en véritable haut-parleur lorsqu’un son est émis dans l’un des 2 micros situé aux extrémités de la rangée, et relié à une interface amplifiante elle-même connectée à tous les volumes de verre. On peut entendre tout ce dispositif respirer d’un souffle humain. Le visiteur est alors en présence d'une espèce de machine/corps.

TRANE exhibition by Laurent Saksik at A GLASS HOUSE
For its second exhibition, A GLASS HOUSE presents the young French artist Laurent Saksik and its work TRANE. This installation offers 5 perfectly-aligned panels of E-Glas 'soudproof' heated glass and allows to transform the glass into a loudspeaker membrane when a sound is emitted into either of the microphones, situated at both ends of the installation and connected to an amplifying interface which is itself connected to all the panels of glass. It is possible to hear the entire structure breathe a human breath.
The observer is in the presence of a kind of machine/body.
